Magnesium alloy semi-solid injection molding machine continues to break through
In March 2024, the 3200T magnesium alloy semi-solid injection molding machine designed, developed and produced by Yizumi was officially launched and successfully delivered to Ningbo Xingyuan Zhuomai Technology Co., Ltd. The equipment has reached the world's leading level in the three key parameters of clamping force, injection capacity and melt feeding capacity. It is mainly used in the production of high-precision parts in the automotive industry. It can meet customers' needs for high precision, high efficiency, high stability and digitalization of semi-solid magnesium alloy forming equipment, which will greatly promote the large-scale application of magnesium alloy in the field of lightweight automobiles. The injection pressure can reach 100 MPa, which solves the weak link of shrinkage compensation in the molding of large parts in the semi-solid injection process. The large-flow high-speed response hydraulic system brings surging filling capacity, 160 mm screw, and the maximum stable discharge volume is >11 kg.
In April 2024, Bole Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. held a press conference for the 4000T super-large magnesium alloy semi-solid injection molding machine in Ningbo. The newly launched equipment uses innovative semi-solid thixotropic injection molding technology, which can achieve safe, environmentally friendly and efficient near-net molding without the need for additional protective gas without completely melting the magnesium alloy. This technology significantly reduces the defects in the magnesium alloy molding process, improves material utilization, reduces energy consumption by about 50%, and breaks through the limitations of traditional molding processes in terms of injection volume, clamping force, solidification defects, etc., and meets the production and manufacturing needs of large high-performance parts (such as shock towers, motor housings, etc.). At the same time, injection-molded magnesium alloy products are significantly superior to traditional die-casting products in terms of mechanical properties, corrosion resistance, density, etc., which will greatly expand the scope of use of magnesium alloy materials in current industrial applications.
During the year, the research and development, launch and application of magnesium alloy semi-solid injection molding machines continued to achieve new breakthroughs.
