Sharing skills and shining ingenuity - the 9th National Foundry Industry Vocational Skills Competition was successfully held

From November 25 to 27, 2024, the 2024 "Shengquan Cup" 9th National Foundry Industry Vocational Skills Competition Finals was successfully held, hosted by the China Foundry Association and the China Employment Training Technical Guidance Center, and co-organized by the Yutian County People's Government, Tangshan Federation of Trade Unions, Tangshan Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, and the Vocational Education Department of the China Foundry Association. 209 contestants from 20 provinces and cities across the country (including 41 smelting and pouring workers, 113 casting molding (core) workers, and 55 die-casting mold workers) gathered together and competed on the same stage, showing their superb professional and technical level, and more fully demonstrated the positive spirit of the majority of workers in the national foundry industry, playing a demonstration role in leading the training of skilled talents, and effectively promoting the formation of a good ecology for high-skilled talents to stand out.

The scale of this competition is the largest in the history of competitions; the introduction of investment casting competition for the first time has become a highlight; the setting of the competition content adheres to the consistent principle of combining theory with practice, and examines the depth and breadth of the contestants' mastery of the casting profession; the practical operation has considerable technical difficulty, and also takes into account the examination of the contestants' basic skills, and the true skill is revealed in the details; the referees are composed of technical backbones, technical vice presidents, chief engineers from large casting enterprises across the country, and professors and experts from well-known domestic universities, who escort the competition.

The National Foundry Industry Vocational Skills Competition has been held for nine consecutive sessions since 2015. It has become a national competition approved by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security in 2018. It is the largest and highest-level brand event in my country's foundry industry, and has set a "vane" for the skill development of the majority of foundry practitioners.
